Our patients’ safety is our number one concern

Our powerful, quiet and effective Microdermabrasion machines are often used in combination with our unique and personalized blend of safe and effective chemical peel exfoliants (Alpha & Beta Hydroxy Acids and other Organic fruit acids), as well as market-leading prescription skincare products, to develop a cost effective and safe treatment plan that stands apart from any offered by average Medi-spas. Each treatment plan is created on an individual basis after thoroughly examining your skin, your lifestyle and your goals in order to help you reach your skin’s optimum potential.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels are the perfect way to kick off a new skin care routine as well as to maintain or refresh an established one. At The Naderi Center, dynamic, effective and safe peeling agents such as alpha and beta hydroxy acids, TCA, Retinol, Resorcinol, and Hydroquinone are used to treat a multitude of skin conditions. Especially in combination with microdermabrasion (which increases their intensity and effectiveness by 50%) or IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), skin concerns like hyperpigmentation, melasma and sunspots, coarse texture and fine lines, as well as oiliness and acne are addressed with minimal to no down time. Frequency should be discussed with your aesthetician and is determined based on skin condition and desired results. The use of chemical peels should be accompanied by a strong at-home skin care regimen. For deeper medical peels, a 4 week period of at-home “skin prep” is required for safe outcome in order to minimize risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Deeper peels are always performed by Dr. Naderi himself.

Dermabrasion

Skin is a far more complicated structure than most people realize. It is an organ, just as the stomach and liver are organs, but it is the largest organ in the body. It is the body’s first line of defense against infection. Skin has temperature regulation capabilities enabling the body to maintain the correct temperature. It contains both sweat and sebaceous (oil) glands and sensory structures to gather information about the environment, specialized nerve receptors for pressure, touch, pain, heat and cold. Skin produces vitamin D and the pigment melanin which protects us from damaging ultraviolet sunrays.

Acne Scar Reduction

Acne scars reach deeper than the skin, having an impact on self confidence and self esteem. For those of us with acne scars, it gets harder and harder to look in the mirror every day and to see no change despite buying and trying every conceivable lotion, facial cream, face mask and drug available. Many scar revision procedures are currently available, from dermabrasion to chemical peels, laser and surgery. They are designed to improve the appearance of your scars and get you back to the social life you crave.

Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing

Erbium lasers, like carbon dioxide lasers, are powerful ablative lasers, designed to remove the outer layers of skin using a burst of energy. Laser resurfacing, also known as a laser peel, has advantages over other methods of resurfacing. Some of these advantages include less bleeding, more precision with the ability to target tiny areas like moles, and most important for many people, a shorter recovery time. Patients who have had Erbium laser treatments recover twice as quickly as those who have had CO2 laser treatments. There is little burning of surrounding tissues.  Side effects may include swelling, redness and bruising but this lasts for just a week. The dramatic resurfacing results this laser treatment yields may last up to five years!

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Laser Resurfacing

Carbon dioxide (CO2) laser resurfacing is the best known method today for erasing acne scars forever. Dr. Naderi uses the new fractional carbon dioxide laser technology in the office setting at both the Reston, Virginia location and the Chevy Chase, Maryland location. He works wonders at rejuvenating the skin by improving overall skin quality. Brown spots caused by sun damage can be obliterated, skin pores reduced in size, skin texture irregularities can be smoothed out and the skin plumped up through collagen stimulation. With the skill that only years of experience can hone, Dr. Naderi will recreate the skin that you remember from your youth.

Medical Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a mechanical (rather than chemical) method of exfoliation. Crystal or crystal-free modalities can be used to treat congested or enlarges pores, acne, fine lines and wrinkles as well as brown spots and hyperpigmentation. As the skin is exfoliated, the vacuum component stimulates micro-circulation and lymphatic flow. This, in turn, accelerates the skin renewal process, or cell turn-over, stimulates collagen formation and increases the penetration and effectiveness of cosmeceuticals and peels. Microdermabrasion is most effective when it is supported by a strong home skincare regime and most beneficial when combined with other modalities such as chemical peels or photorejuvenation (IPL). For best results, microdermabrasion treatments are received every 7-14 days for 4-8 weeks until desired results are achieved and monthly to maintain those results.

Photorejuvenation, or IPL

Photorejuvenation (photo therapy) uses specific filtered wavelengths of white light to safely, yet effectively target imperfections of the skin. In fact, photorejuvenation is the only treatment procedure that can treat Rosacea and other vascular redness, brown spots, freckles and other signs of photo-aging as well as improve your skin texture and collagen structure simultaneously. Plus, it does so with little to no down-time. Photorejuvenation should be received as recommended by your aesthetician or Dr. Naderi and in conjunction with a strong home care and sun-protection regimen. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) can also be combined with other modalities such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels in order to receive the best possible results. Photorejuvenation is suitable for the face as well as other body areas.

Fraxel™

Aging does not bypass any of us, and the first signs of it are often found in the face. Even if we have not spent a lifetime out in the sun, crow’s feet form around the eyes, skin becomes dry and loses its elasticity, and fine wrinkles show up around the mouth. These are all natural signs of aging, but who of us has not tanned too much as a teenager, or exercised daily outdoors, or enjoyed sitting out on the park bench for lunch?  Add ultra-violet damage to our naturally aging skin, and you may see freckles, age spots, spider veins, and leathery and mottled skin accumulate to detract from our appearance. These photoaging effects are determined by skin color and the amount of time spent in the sun.  Add more damage from smoking and you could look 15 or 20 years older than you really are.

VI Peel

Healthy, even skin with a deep glow is everybody’s ideal, but the reality is often dull, damaged skin that comes with problems ranging from wrinkles and sun damage to hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. These issues are not necessarily permanent, but sometimes the side effects various cures offered can sound worse than the problem themselves.
