Hi, I am wondering if you perform incisionless otoplasty and how much experience do you have. Also how much do u charge for this and how long does the procedure take. thanks.
Answer:
Hi,
I trained directly with Dr. Michael Fritsch at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is the inventor of the incisionless otoplasty. So far, as far as I know, other than me, non of his other residents or fellows perform the incisionless otoplasty. As a resident many years ago, I set up a teaching lab to teach the other residents how to perform the incisionless otoplasty. So to answer your question: Yes I perform incisionless otoplasty.
Now you have to understand that very few people are actually candidates for the incisionless otoplasty. Most people require a standard otoplasty due to the size of their conchal bowl. You can read more about otoplasty here: /otoplasty.html
Cost is roughly the same as a standard otoplasty. Incisionless otoplasty takes about an hour or less usually. While many patients choose to have the otoplasty under general anesthesia, some prefer to have the surgery under pure local anesthesia.
