See Your Best Self, 3D Imaging Benefits

Take your aesthetic journey to the next level with Canfield 3D Imaging. Say goodbye to guesswork and uncertainty. Our advanced imaging technology allows you to visualize the results of your procedure before it even begins. This gives you unparalleled control and confidence in your treatment decisions.

Canfield 3D Imaging: Vectra H2 for Facial Plastic Surgery Imaging

Vectra H2 face and neck system simultaneously takes a number of photos of the patient from different points of view. It does this through multiple cameras. Once the photos are taken, a special Sculptor 3D software constructs an extremely accurate three-dimensional image of the patient’s face and neck.

Our plastic surgeons can use the sculptor software to make changes to the dimensions and volumes of the face and simulate the actual results of surgery. These changes can be viewed from virtually any angle and compared to the original image.

Thanks to the Vectra H2 system, we can sit down with our patients and ensure that they have a realistic vision and know exactly what they can expect. The system gives us the chance to accurately communicate the goals of the procedure.

Simulation technology used for a variety of surgical procedures

Here at The Naderi Center, we use the Vectra H2 system for a variety of face and neck procedures such as faceliftneck liftchin augmentation, and rhinoplasty. See your breast augmentation with a variety of breast implant shapes and sizes. Imagine your rhinoplasty results viewed from a variety of different angles and views. See what it would look like to enhance the size of your chin for a stronger profile and more balanced look.

Our plastic surgeons and patients have found simulation technology to be a very useful tool during the consultation and preoperative phases. Dr. Shervin Naderi remarks that, “The technology provided to us by Canfield allows for more productive dialogue between me and the patient, as well as better visualization of realistic surgical expectations”.  Our breast and body surgeons comment that “It’s truly remarkable to be able to show patients what their results may look like in 3D, and reduces the risk of patients having unrealistic expectations”.

How does the Vectra H2 system plastic surgery simulation work?

When we decide to use the Vectra H2 system, we’ll ask a patient to stand in front of the device. Once turned on, it will snap six 2 dimensional photographs with six sophisticated cameras simultaneously. It will also take accurate measurements to instantly produce a 3D image of the patient’s body. The image will be so clear that our plastic surgeons will be able to see the pores, freckles, and pigmented lesions on a patient’s neck or face if they zoom in.

2D imaging is used to predict after cosmetic surgery results

The Mirror Suite is a robust imaging solution that contains PhotoFile, PhotoTools, Rejuvenation, and 2D simulation tools. It is specifically designed to assist with managing images, communicating visually with patients, and providing aesthetic stimulation. Let’s take a closer look at how each of these tools works on their own.

Imaging technology: PhotoFile feature

PhotoFile acts as the backbone for medical imaging systems. It is designed to keep all of a patient’s medical images accessible while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Mirror PhotoFile features a number of tools that are extremely valuable to patients and plastic surgeons.

The loupe tool allows us to closely examine a patient’s skin to pinpoint problem areas and make the ideal treatment recommendations. With the side by side view, we can track a patient’s treatment progress while demonstrating their results.

In addition, PhotoFile gives our plastic surgeons the opportunity to export images to a powerpoint presentation that can be created as an informational resource for the patient. It also has a patient consultation app for iPad which serves as the perfect way to educate patients during their consultations.

The mirroring software in PhotoFile allows our plastic surgeons to stay in touch with patients via a secure, password-protected portal. Patients are welcome to log in to the portal to look at their photographs, treatment recommendations, and treatment progress from the comfort of their own homes.

Imaging Software: PhotoTools feature

PhotoTools is an effective way for us to enhance communication and optimize images. Its color and orientation matching feature gets rid of any color shifts and modifies image size and rotation to ensure consistency. Split-face comparison is used to demonstrate asymmetry while labels and whiteboarding allow for easy annotation. PhotoTools makes it a breeze for our plastic surgeons to measure calibrated distances as well as angles and proportions so they can improve the way they plan and analyze procedures. With the MatchPose image overlay, we can capture the ideal before and after photos so that patients can get a true look at their expected results.

Skin Rejuvenation procedures analyzed with high-tech imaging program

The rejuvenation tool provides us with an instant look at the types of results patients can expect after a variety of skin rejuvenation procedures.

It gives us the chance to stimulate the benefits of dermal fillersmicrodermabrasion, lasers, and other popular skin solutions. Rejuvenation helps patients get a true understanding of the types of results they may enjoy after their procedures.

2D Stimulation

We have discovered that 2D stimulation is the perfect way for us to show patients what types of results they can expect. It plays a key role in helping them make informed decisions and encouraging them to ask the right questions before committing to a certain procedure. Our plastic surgeons use 2D stimulation for a wide range of procedures including facelifts, rhinoplasties, chin augmentation, neck lifts, and liposuction.

Canfield Imaging Systems FAQs

Canfield Scientific has earned a reputation as the global leader in imaging systems. They have revolutionized a variety of industries including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetics, medical, and skin care.

Their mission is to provide high quality, state-of-the-art, imaging solutions to physicians and the healthcare industry. The Naderi Center couldn’t be more proud to use their imaging solutions for our Washington DC Metropolitan patients.

We use Canfield imaging systems before performing a wide variety of aesthetic procedures. Some of the most common ones include rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, facelift, browlift, neck lift, breast augmentation with a variety of implant choices, microdermabrasion, and body contouring.

At The Naderi Center, we utilize the Canfield imaging systems so that patients can become better informed, make smarter decisions, and visualize more realistic results. Before and after imaging can not be performed for all types of procedures or all types of patients, however, when a patient is a candidate for imaging, our surgeons will be sure to utilize the simulation technology. For example, when patient’s have saline implants and desire to undergo revision breast augmentation, our plastic surgeons will offer to deflate their implants prior to surgery in order to offer the imaging technology and allow the patient to make a more informed decision on their new implant size. This demonstrates how passionate our doctors are about patient’s being able to visualize their after results.

Imaging technology has allowed plastic surgeon’s to go to the operating room with a more focused plan in regards to breast implant size. Today, the old habit of a plastic surgeon walking into an operating room with 12 or more implant sizes has been eliminated with imaging technology. Your surgeon will have a focused and precise idea of roughly how big or how small of an implant to choose based upon discussions and imaging results with you.  Simulation has really taken away a lot of the anxiety and hesitation many women have about whether their implants will be too big or too small.

Almost any patient who is interested in plastic surgery can benefit from the Canfield imaging systems. They can help them understand their options and set realistic expectations for their results.

A Canfield imaging system may be an invaluable resource for a liposuction patient who hopes to visualize their new, slimmer physique. It can also be a good option a patient interested in facial procedures who wants to see how they can achieve a more youthful and refreshed look. The system may also be valuable for a breast augmentation patient who wishes to visualize what different size implants may look like on them.

While we believe that there’s no better way for patients to visualize potential results than the Canfield imaging systems, we’d be happy to show them before and after photos of real patients if they wish. We will do whatever it takes to ensure they feel confident prior to undergoing a procedure. At The Naderi Center we only show photos of our patients that have given written consent allowing use of their images.
