Nose Job without Surgery

Rhinoplasty has undergone a recent modernization. Patients who are interested in nose surgery may find that the changes they want can be accomplished without invasive surgery. Minor changes to the nose can be achieved non-surgically through a procedure called a non-surgical nose job or “fifteen minute nose job”. How is this possible? The invention of injectable fillers and subsequent development of a wide range of uses in cosmetic surgery allows Dr. Naderi to perform a lunch hour nose job for anyone in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Using his artistic abilities, he can restore symmetry to your nose by lifting drooping tips, straightening crooked noses and smoothing out humps in either of his Clinic locations in Herndon, Virginia or Chevy Chase, Maryland The procedure does not cause any major swelling or bruising, so you can return right back to work.

The Procedure

Dr. Naderi may first apply a topical numbing cream. Using his filler of choice, such as Radiesse® or Restylane®, he injects it into the nose. This may take from one to five minutes. During this time you will be able to see the changes taking place in your nose. Using Restylane, he can fill in depressions and reduce the sharp angle of upturned noses. Both Radiesse® and Restylane® are temporary fillers that do not usually provoke allergic reactions or problems. Eventually they are broken down in the body, but this occurs evenly across the nose so there are no unusual lumps. Restylane® is a gel that is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. Restylane® results last about eight months. Radiesse® is made of calcium hydroxylapatite, similar to your own bone, and results last about eighteen months. Artefill® is an additional injectable filler, but differs in that it is permanent. Artefill® is made of a plastic that is relatively safe for human use, methyl methacrylate. Prior to using Artefill® a collagen skin test is required. Dr. Naderi does not like to use Artefill in the nose and advocates for use of safer fillers such as Restylane for non-surgical rhinoplasty.
