At one week, when the cast comes off, Dr. Naderi says this patient's nose already looks really good, but the tip is still a little stiff and a little upturned. He explains that it will drop down and feel more natural over time, and that makeup can go under the eyes right away but not on the nose itself.
Dr. Shervin Naderi, Double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon
This is a recorded office visit. The transcript shows what Dr. Naderi says; the patient's replies and words that could not be made out are left out.
Did you take a shower? Get it all wet? I want to do a little bit more Vaseline here, because your nostril is a little bit dry, so you definitely want to make it a little bit more slimy. You can put makeup on under the eyes. You can do that immediately. I don't want you to put it on the nose itself, though, then you'll have to rub it and scrub it.
Looking really, really good. A few months from now, you won't even notice it.
Beautiful brow-tip aesthetic lines. Looks really good. That's the view you'll never see of yourself, from the top of your forehead, but it shows you how good it looks. All right, I'm going to have you sit up. I'll get you the mirror, and then you're going to go look in the big mirror.
Like a model. Now look at the tip. Look how good it looks. You look like a different human being. Look at your side profile. Looks really good. Now, it's a little stiff, like I said. The tip is a little bit up. It's going to drop down and feel more natural, more normal. But it just suits you so well. So pretty. Really pretty. Looks really, really good.
