Patients come to us from Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac and across Montgomery County. Your consultation, pre-op visit and follow-up visits are scheduled here, so for most Maryland patients surgery day is the only trip to Virginia.

An Honest First Answer
Do You Need a Facelift, or Not Yet?
Dr. Naderi does his own injections and has a significant injectables practice, so he has no reason to steer you toward surgery. If filler, fat or a skin treatment can give you what you want, he will say so. If it cannot, he will tell you that just as plainly.
Jowls show the difference best. Any facelift improves them, because it lifts the tissue that has slid down along the jawline. Without surgery, the jowl is left alone and volume is added around it, in front of it, behind it at the angle of the jaw and sometimes at the chin. If a facelift is likely within about a year, he skips the filler and adds fat during the facelift instead.
A deep plane facelift is usually the right answer when:
- The jowls break the line of the jaw and filler around them no longer looks natural.
- The neck has loosened along with the face, so the two are best lifted together with a neck lift.
- The cheeks have settled lower and the folds around the mouth have deepened.
- You want a result that lasts 10 years or more, rather than treatments repeated every year.

From Consultation to Recovery

Meet Dr. Naderi on Wisconsin Avenue, or start with a virtual consultation. He examines your face and neck, explains what a deep plane facelift would change and what it would not. The consultation fee goes toward your surgery, and your pre-op visit is here too.
Surgery day
About 4 hours under general anesthesia at Prince William Surgery Center in Virginia, given by board-certified anesthesiologists who supervise nurse anesthetists. Most patients go home the same day with a responsible adult. If you need it, we can arrange a car to and from the surgery center.
The first two weeks
Drains are not usually needed. Dressings come off the day after surgery and most sutures come out in the first week. Most patients are back to work and social plans in about two weeks.
One month and beyond
Exercise resumes after one month. Swelling and numbness keep fading for several months. Follow-up visits, typically at 1 week, 1 month and 3 months, are scheduled in Chevy Chase.

Where you fall in the range depends on what your plan includes, for example whether the neck, the eyelids or fat transfer are part of the same operation. Is your office in Bethesda?
Our Maryland office is in Chevy Chase, at 5454 Wisconsin Avenue in the Barlow Building, about a mile and a half south of downtown Bethesda and one block from the Friendship Heights Metro. We also see patients in Reston, Virginia, and virtually.
Do I have to go to Virginia for my facelift?
For most Maryland patients, only for surgery day. Your consultation, pre-op visit and follow-up visits are scheduled at our Chevy Chase office. Surgery is at Prince William Surgery Center in Virginia, where Dr. Naderi operates under general anesthesia given by board-certified anesthesiologists, and we can arrange a car to and from the center if you need it.
How much does a deep plane facelift cost?
$35,000 to $70,000, including Dr. Naderi’s fee, anesthesia and the surgical facility. Your exact quote follows your consultation, and Cherry financing is available for qualifying patients.
When can I go out in public again?
Most patients are back to work and social plans in about two weeks and back to exercise after one month. Swelling, firmness and numbness keep improving over several months.
Can I have my neck or eyelids done at the same time?
Yes. Many patients combine a deep plane facelift with a neck lift, eyelid surgery or fat injections in the same operation. Dr. Naderi will tell you at your consultation whether that makes sense for you.
Should I get filler before my facelift?
If a facelift is likely within about a year, Dr. Naderi usually skips filler in the lower face and adds fat during the facelift instead. If surgery is years away, well-placed filler is fine in the meantime.
How long does a deep plane facelift last?
Typically 10 years or more. Your face keeps aging, but it stays ahead of where it would have been. Staying out of the sun, not smoking, good medical-grade skin care and non-invasive follow-up treatments help it last longer.
