Patient Info
This patient presented with significant hyperpigmentation, particularly on the cheeks, and a history of an adverse reaction to a Cynosure laser treatment performed abroad. Due to her skin type and sensitivity, she was not considered an ideal candidate for additional laser-based therapies.
Instead, a combined approach using VI Peel treatments and a customized ZO®️ Skin Health regimen (cleansing + exfoliation, pigment control, and moisture + protection) was recommended to address her pigment concerns safely and effectively.
This non-laser, pigment-targeting protocol is well-suited for patients with melanin-rich skin tones who are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and adverse laser responses. Continued improvement is expected with adherence to the regimen and sun protection.
This case highlights the importance of personalized skin care solutions for patients with complex pigment concerns and histories of treatment sensitivity.
