Hello Doc. i was wondering if you do carbon dioxide laser treatment for a keloid on the top of my ear. I have tried the cortizon vaccine on it but it doesnt seem to make a difference. i really want it gone and out of sight. also, is there an age limet to having this done? waiting on your reply
True Keloids on the ear often need to be excised surgically and then follow-up with serial steroid in jections for months and months to reduce their chances of recurrence.
CO2 laser has no role whatsoever in keloid treatment. When Keloids are severe enough, radiation treatments can be used but radiation therapy has significant risks.
I hope this information helped.
