I’ve heard that Dysport spreads further from the point of injection than Botox so fewer injections are needed. Does this mean that you pay less overall with Dysport than Botox?
Answer:
In my practice in the Washington DC area (Chevy Chase Maryland and Northern Virginia) Dysport costs 1/3 of Botox per unit but 3 times as much is needed so the cost is the same. For example, for the frown lines, on average patients get 20 units of Botox which is $300. For Dysport they would get 60 units but the cost is again the same $300.
