Question: What’s the best way to correct a wide nasal bridge? Does this usually require the nasal bone to be broken?
Answer: Depends on whether the width of your nose is from wide bones, wide middle vault cartilages or both. Usually the nasal bones do need to be broken but there are some cases where that by itself is not enough and other maneuvers to remove a section of the bridge from the central segment are also needed. These are more advanced techniques in Rhinoplasty and most plastic surgeons do not feel comfortable with the more advanced maneuvers. As such you should speak to a rhinoplasty specialist who focuses his practice on aesthetic nasal surgery.
