I have a very gummy smile. I am thinking about having Botox injected in my lips to help conceal my gums. I want to do this so that I will look my best for my wedding, which is in 9 months. In your opinion, when should I have the injection? If I don’t like the look, when will the effects begin to diminish?
Hi. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I would suggest you try the Botox injection to decrease your gummy smile or “gum show” now just to make sure you like its results. Then you can do the botox to the upper lip again 3-4 weeks before your wedding. Take a look at my YouTube video demonstration of Botox or even Dysport to the upper lip to create less gum show when smiling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEBOM3uHHC4
