Rhinoplasty patients with thick nasal skin and thin nasal skin require special modifications in order to obtain very nice results. Simple removal of cartilage and bone will often make a nose with thick skin look less defined and more amorphous. Structural grafts and sutures need to be used counteract the weight of the heavy thick skin and allow the underlying cartilage to be able to show a better shape and form. Take a look here:
