What sort of complications or problems following rhinoplasty is addressed with steroids? Is this safe?
Steroids after a nose job do not address complications. Steroid injection to the nose are used to decrease swelling and scar tissue which aren’t really “complications.” The steroids aren’t risk free and may cause dimpling of the skin and may take an area of the nose with excess swelling and fullness and create a depression since their action is not precise nor controllable. However, if the tip or supratip area of your nose is creating too much scar tissue then steroid injections would be beneficial despite their risks.
