I heard there’s one type of Juvederm that has lidocaine in it. Does this mean that other Juvederms and other types of fillers don’t have lidocaine? And are injections painful enough that this is necessary?
Answer:
Most of the Juvederm and Restylane and Perlane that we carry in our Chevy Chase Maryland or Reston Virginia offices have lidocaine in them however not all fillers have numbing medicine in them. Lidocaine does make the injections more comfortable during and after the injection but good gentle injection technique is more important.
