Question: How much does a revision rhinoplasty procedure cost? Is it the same, more or less than the original procedure? Does insurance or the original doctor ever cover the cost?
Answer: Revision Rhinoplasty is often more complex than primary original rhinoplasty and as such the cost is two to three times higher. It can range from $6000 to $30,000! Insurance may cover a very small portion if there are functional problems such as septal deformity. Trying to get the original surgeon to cover some of the revision cost is nearly impossible unless he is doing the revision himself.
