How long is a typical blepharoplasty surgery?
Answer:
The length a typical upper blepharoplasty or eyelid lift surgery is around one hour. If the lower blepharoplasty is being performed, then this will add an additional 1-2 hours depending on whether there is an additional lid tightening procedures performed at that time. Patients go home that day after being observed for a few hours. An upper blepharoplasty can sometimes be performed under local anesthesia if requested, but typically lower blepharoplasty surgery requires some sedation.
