I’m a 20-year-old woman, and I got a rhinoplasty five days ago. I love the shape of my new nose, it’s straighter and looks great. My only complaint is that now my chin looks weak and washed out, and I’d like to get a chin implant. How long after my rhinoplasty do I have to wait to get a chin implant?
Using computer imaging, your doctor should have shown you before your nose job what your new face could look like so that you could have planned for the chin implant at the same time. However, it’s not a big deal. You can wait about 6 months for much of the nose swelling to resolve before you decide on the chin implant and its size. Once the nose shrinks down over time, you may decide you don’t even need a chin implant.
