Question: I am a 47 year old female and recently quit smoking after 30 years. I have very deep wrinkles around my mouth and would like to have injectable fillers to take care of this. Is there an amount of time I should wait before having this procedure or will some of the wrinkles correct themselves now that I have quit smoking?
Answer: Even non smokers who talk with a pursing movement of their lips can get vertical “smokers lines” around their mouth. Fillers like Restylane or Juvederm can improve the lines and it can be done even if you had not quit smoking but the fact that you have quit is awesome! Congratulations!
