I’m from Chevy Chase, Maryland and I love the results I’ve seen online with chemical peels. I’ve got some sun damage and minor wrinkling. Can this be improved with a chemical peel and would I need to have repeat treatments to maintain the results?
There are many different types and depths of chemical peels. Superficial chemical peels can reveal fresh skin and improve skin tone, texture, discoloration, sun damage and mild wrinkles. The effects typically last several months. Superficial peels, such as the VI Peel, can easily be performed at either our Chevy Chase, Maryland office or our Herndon, Virginia office. Superficial peels often need repeat treatments to obtain optimal results and also to maintain the effects. The downtime is minimal and it can be performed on most skin types. To reverse more extensive sun damaged skin and deeper wrinkles, a deeper chemical peel may be needed. Medium to deep chemical peels sometimes need to be performed in a surgical center with sedation and monitoring. To determine what treatment would give you the best results, it would be best to evaluate you in person in our Chevy Chase, Maryland office.
