Dear Dr. Naderi
I am interested in the incisionless otoplasty procedure, however since I am located in Asia, I was hoping you could recommend any doctors or clinics which you know of / are affiliated with in Europe or Asia which perform this technique?
Many Thanks
Answer:
Hi,
As you know this procedure was developed by one of my mentors, Dr. Fritsch, at Indiana University. It is not a widely known or practiced technique currently and is only being performed by a small handful of surgeons. Furthermore, the technique is not suited to a large portion of patients with protruding ears who need Conchal set-back.
I do not know of anyone in Asia but I have heard of a Dr. Merck in Germany who apparently performs a variation of this technique. You could try to email or call Dr. Michael Fritsch at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana and see if he is in contact with any surgeons in Asia who may have learned this procedure from him.
