I’m in my late 70’s and would really like blepharoplasty surgery. Am I too old?
Answer:
Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery is a great procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the upper and lower lids. Being in your late 70’s, you most likely have a good amount of excess skin on your upper eyelids and would probably find functional benefits as well as aesthetic benefits from upper eyelid surgery. Many patients that undergo this procedure are of a similar age or older. The upper eyelid surgery can also easily be done under local anesthesia, which means you are not put to sleep or sedated. The recovery is fairly easy, with most people returning to their normal activity after a week.
