I’m from Chevy Chase and I’m interested in having a touch-up facelift. My first one was ten years ago. Are there doctors who specialize in secondary facelifts?
Answer:
The rejuvenation that a facelift provides often last around 8-10 years as the aging process continues during this time. A “touch-up” or secondary facelift is often needed to maintain your youthful appearance. There are many types of doctors that perform cosmetic surgery, but for a secondary facelift, it is best to find a board certified facial plastic surgeon or a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aging face surgery. Some plastic surgery practices perform mainly body work with limited experience in secondary facelifts. My practice (Dr. Jessica Kulak) is based in Chevy Chase, MD and in Reston, VA and focuses on facial rejuvenation surgeries such as facelifts, eyelid lifts, browlifts, chemical peels, and volume restoration with autologous fat transfer.
