I am currently looking for a doctor experienced in Otoplasty. I am looking for experience and quality. I would be appreciative if you could answer the following questions:
How many otoplasty procedures have you performed? Is your incisionless technique proven as effective as a conventional technique?
I saw the cost as $2800.00 excluding hospital, anesthesia, etc type fees. What is a ballpark, all inclusive cost for otoplasty?
I only perform facial surgery and I have done almost a thousand ear cases of various sorts. The incionless otoplasty technique is a very good tehcnique IN THE RIGHT PATIENT. Not all patients are candidates for this and hence it is not a very common procedure. It is good for creation of the antihelical folds but not good in cases where the conchal bowl needs to be set back. I would have to see you or at least some pictures to be able to tell you more information including cost. There is not one set fee with any procedure as no two patients are identical. You have to fit the surgery to the patient and not fit the patient to the surgery. The average cost though is around $5-6K for otoplasty although there is lots of variability in price range out there.
I would be glad to see your pictures or examine you and go over your best options.
