Question: What are the potential complications associated with Botox and how common are they?
Answer: Allergic reaction, infection, eyelid or eyebrow dropping are some potential complications of Botox or Dysport. I have never seen any of these in my own Botox patients despite injecting thousands of patients. Bruising may occur with Botox or Dysport and that is probably the most common “risk” although bruising is really not a true risk but an expected outcome since a needle is being inserted under the skin.
