I scar easily and I am worried about my Juvederm injections. Since Juvederm contains chemicals normally found in bone material, can it calcify and cause hardened areas around the injections site?
Answer:
You must be thinking of Radiesse. Radiesse is the filler that contains bone mineral and Juvederm is soft gel Hyaluronic acid filler that contains material most often found in skin. Regardless, any filler injection can cause hardness and lumps and scarring but it is extremely rare with Juvederm especially if it is injected by a Facial Plastic Surgeon to the proper depth and not too superficial.
