Question: I was just reading an article about ArteFill and how it’s a permanent injectable filler. Could you please tell me a little more about it? I’m interested in getting it done.
Answer: Artefill is the US form of Artecoll and it came to the US after FDA approval marketing itself as a permanent filler but now we refer to it as a long lasting filler which most likely is permanent. It is made of small glass beeds that remain and get encapsulated by your own collagen and scar tissue as well as a career that is collagen and it dissolves away. Several injection sessions are needed and allergy testing for the collagen is needed a month before the injection of artefill. I used to do lots of artefill injections but I stopped doing arfetill because I prefer the relative safety of Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm.
