I’m in my early 30’s and have dark, undereye circles that have a hollow appearance. Although concealer helps with covering the dark circles, the hollow, sunken look really bothers me now. I have read that dermal fillers can be used in the tear trough area. What dermal fillers are best for this area and what are the potential side effects? I’m most nervous about the potential for hitting a nerve or blood vessel and the impact it can have on my vision.

Hi
Id have to see you before I can give you an answer specific to your situation but in general when hollowness exists under the eyes, these are called tear troughs and placement of Restylane, Belotero or Juvederm can help fill in the depressed area and raise and make the eyes look less sunken and less tired. Bruising and swelling are common and like any procedure, there are more significant rare risks as well.
