Do injectables fillers have animal by-products in them? Are they harmful?
Question: Are any of the injectable fillers that you use made of animal by-products? If so, is it possible to have an allergic reaction? Answer:
Some fillers do have animal based collagen or poultry based albumin or other additives. In cosmetic surgery just like anything, allergic reactions are possible in any product under the sun. However, the products that I prefer to use are the FDA approved Hyaluronic Acids like Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm that are relatively the safest and least allergy causing and no allergy test are done with these fillers.
