What is Radiesse?

Radiesse®, originally known as Radiance®, is a powerful and safe non-surgical injectable filler that lessens the appearance of wrinkles, creases and scars while also filling out the face.  A face that has deep nasolabial folds, marionette lines, or gaunt cheeks benefits from this remarkably long lasting filler. Dr. Naderi, conveniently located near all Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. areas, can use Radiesse® to enhance your looks by augmenting the chin or cheeks, smoothing the jawline or slightly altering the shape of your nose with non-surgical rhinoplasty.  Using Radiesse® to shape and contour the face will rejuvenate your face and reduce the obvious signs of aging.

Radiesse® is synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite, a compound that is equivalent to natural ground bone so it does not provoke an allergic reaction in the body. Once Dr. Naderi skillfully injects this gel, it induces swelling by attracting water, expanding and showing immediate improvement of the facial wrinkles. Injections are made deep into the soft tissue of the face and skin. These injections stimulate the production of natural collagen, leading to the deposition of collagen within the tissues. This provides a much longer lasting effect. The effects of Radiesse® injections can last from one to two years!

Dr. Naderi can give Radiesse® injections in his offices at both the Herndon, Virginia location and the Chevy Chase, Maryland location. As with any injectable filler, the results depend on the proficiency of your doctor, however, Dr. Naderi’s expertise is unparalleled.  His patients are thrilled with the results. Once a topical anesthetic is applied, injections typically take fifteen to forty minutes to perform.  Some patients have found these injections to be more painful than other injectable fillers. Injections may result in some redness or mild swelling at the injection site at first, but no time off from work is needed. The injection, as with any injectable filler, may result in localized bruising. An arnica natural supplement can be used beforehand and afterwards to alleviate this bruising.
