Where is the submentoplasty done, a hospital or in the office? Also, can you give me a ball park estimate range on the procedure.

Hi,
I perform most of my surgeries at Fair Oaks Hospital which is an actual hospital with fully equipped and staffed operating rooms. Unfortunately many surgery centers do not adhere to strict guidelines or codes of practice and most often complications of plastic surgery tend to occur in such small settings. Hospitals are staffed by Board Certified Anesthesia doctors while many surgeries performed at surgery centers or office based locations are managed by nurses or techs.
The cost of a Submentoplasty is much less than a full neck lift and it is about $5K or slightly more. The most important question is not the cost but in fact "are you a good candidate for the procedure." Many times patients require only liposuction and other times they require a neck lift or something altogether different.
