I have some fine lines above my lips and would like to know what the best fillers are for this.
Both Restylane and Juvederm ultra can do a nice job with reducing upper lip lines. Occasionally Botox or Dysport can also be used to reduce upper lip wrinkles.

I'm interested in getting injectable fillers in my cheeks. It seems like this is mostly done for aging reasons, but I'm 24 and just want more pronounced cheekbones without getting surgery. Would fillers be good for me?
I do liquid cheek augmentation for both men and women. Men need the fillers in a lower area of their cheeks to add volume but NOT create high feminine cheek bones. I also do lots of liquid cheek lifts in young girls as well as older women. I am a 50-year-old man interested in BOTOX because of my heavy wrinkles. I am apprehensive, however, because I think that the injections will make me look feminine. What are typical BOTOX results like for men?

I read recently that BOTOX can be used to treat hyperhidrosis. How effective is it as a treatment, and does your office offer these services?
Yes Botox does work to reduce excess sweating and I do this procedure for my Botox patients but if you are looking to see if insurance will cover it, you need to see a dermatologist and be diagnosed and treated with other options first before Botox.

I know swelling and bruising are possible complications with any injectables, but are there any other potential complications associated with Restylane?
Infection and Allergic reaction and scarring and lumps and bumps and numbness or even skin loss and necrosis are all possible albeit rare. See a patient receive Restylane injection in the lips.

I had Artefill in my nasolabial folds years ago. Is it possible to inject a different type of filler now in the same area or would the Artefill get in the way?
You can get other dermal fillers injected although theoretically your Artefill may get infected.

I'm interested in the most painless technique to smooth glabellar wrinkles. Are there any injectable fillers that would work? Painless injections are a function of your plastic surgeon’s good technique. You can use topical numbing creams and ice to help reduce pain as well. But ultimately there will be some discomfort and it is not totally painless but with good plastic surgery technique you should be able to tolerate the filler injections. Botox or Dysport is also needed to smooth out the glabella.

After my Restylane injection last week my lips were heavily bruised. Is there any way to prevent this from happening the next time I get the injection? Good injection technique will minimize risk of bruising but even with the best plastic surgeon and the best top dermatologist you can still get a big bruise because we cannot see through your skin or through your lips and blood vessels can get in the way of the needle tip. Arnica and pineapple juice can reduce bruises.

I am a 60-year-old woman who has had regular Botox injections for the past two years. If I choose to end treatment, will my lines look worse than they did originally?
No. If anything the 2 years of using Botox has prevented the lines from getting deeper so you are better off as a result of the 2 years of Botox use. However, you are also 2 years older so you may have lost skin elasticity or volume from the face as a result of getting older.

I prefer Perlane and Juvederm Ultra Plus for cheek augmentation or a liquid cheek lift but Radiesse can be used as well.
